Arden Junior All-Stars win in a thriller

The Arden Junior All-Star team won again last night, beating a strong Tri-Cities team 9-8 in a tremendous comeback. They play again Wednesday night (July 20, 2011) at 7:00 p.m. at C-Bar-C Park.

This really is a spectacular run by a special team. Please tell folks about it and encourage them to come out for Wednesday’s game. Let’s all try to get out to support these guys Wednesday night.

Free Youth Baseball Clinic at Raley Field on August 1st & 2nd

As part of their sponsorship of local little leagues, Chevrolet is sponsoring the 2011 Chevy Youth Baseball Instructional Clinic at many locations. As one of our sponsors this year, Kuni Chevrolet is extending an invitation to this event to players in our league. Please read and review the informational flyer on the event, and then register your player (ages 6-13) for 2 days of fun and instruction. Space is limited and on a first come basis, so make sure to register early. Also, note some of the rules (no cleats, only tennis shoes) and items to bring (glove, bat, water, etc.).

Arden Junior All-Stars continue win streak

The Arden Junior All-Stars continued their winning ways with a 10-8 victory over Rio Linda. They play Tri City Little League of Rocklin tonight (July 18, 2011) under the lights at 8 p.m. at C-Bar-C. It should be a great night for baseball so we hope to see you there.

Arden Junior All-Stars Win District 5 Title

Congratulations to Arden’s Junior All-Star team who won the District 5 title last night and move on to the Division playoffs beginning on Sunday, July 17th, at 5 p.m. at C-Bar-C Park.

Arden 10-11 year-old All Stars continue play on Tuesday

The Arden 10-11 year-old all stars play tonight at 6:00 p.m. at Starr King School (Eastern Little League).

Arden Junior All Stars continue tournament play

The Arden Junior All Stars continue their tournament play on Wednesday July 13, 2011 for the District final. Arden is 3-0 in the tournament after dispatching Northridge (2) and Rosemont by a combined total of 36-10! The final game(s) will be at C Bar C Park in Citrus Heights on Wednesday. Arden needs just one win to claim the District Title!

Arden All Stars Update

Both our 11-12 year old All Star and 10-11 year old All Star teams won their first games last week. Our Junior All Star team opens play this week.

Our Arden Junior All Star team opens up play in its bracket on Tuesday, July 5th against Northridge. Game time is at 5:30PM and will be played at the Northridge Little League fields.

Our Arden 11-12 year old All Star team defeated Foothill Farms 12 – 0 in its opening game. This team will now face College Glen also on Tuesday, July 5th. Game time is at 6:00PM and will be played at the College Glen Little League fields.

Our Arden 10-11 year old All Star team defeated Sunrise 15 – 5 in its opening game. This team will now face Carmichael on Wednesday, July 6th. Game time is at 6:00PM and will be played at the Eastern Little League fields.

Minor Rays set to play 4th night in a row

With the emotionally and physically draining games on Monday and Tuesday (a restart of Monday’s from the second inning), the Rays weren’t able to mount a comeback against the Carmichael Red Sox.  But, since we’re in double-elimination play at this point, the Rays will retake the field tonight against the Whitney Mets (game time 6 pm at Sunrise LL).  Nico Virga and Brooke Furukawa pitched great games, helping leave some pitchers available for tonight.

With a win tonight, the Rays would play the Carmichael team again Friday night, and possibly Saturday, depending on who would be the first team with two losses.  At this point, the Rays have played 4 games in 5 days, with tonight being the 5th game in 6 days!  The team is starting to wonder if it is on an MLB schedule!  The Rays want to thank everyone for continued support and would like to offer their congratulations to the All Star teams announced yesterday.  Go Arden!

End of the Season BBQ/All Star Introductions

Please come out to celebrate the end of another great Arden Little League season today, June 15th. The party will start at 6:00 p.m., and we will be giving away free hot dogs, chips, sodas, and cookies to all who attend. We will also be introducing our 2011 All Star teams and cheering them on as they begin preparing for their tournaments (All Star team rosters will be announced online at noon on June 15th).
