Matt Condrin celebrated his 12th birthday by pitching a complete game and hitting a double, leading the Nationals to victory. Drake Charamuga had two line drive base hits to spark the Nats offense, while Ben Siravo, Johnny Hartman, and Jack Flaningam added two hits apiece. Gavin Aguilar helped the Mariners with a 3 for 3 performance, including a double, while Wills Vlasek showed no fatigue from catching the entire game in the high 80 degree heat and had two hits. Casey Honaker added a single for the Mariners.

White Sox 25, Mariners 24
In a wild one – White Sox come back from 16 down and win it on Adam Olsen’s game winning hit in the bottom of the 6th inning. The Mariners had everything going early with fine pitching from Ryan Maves and Gavin Aguilar, and they stretched the lead from 9 to as many as 16 runs in the 5th inning with hits from Jordan Rahe, Gavin Aguilar, Matthew Lynch and Ryan Macomber. However, the White Sox never quit and came roaring back with 14 runs in the 5th inning and 6 more in the 6th to end the game. Timely hitting made the difference for the Sox as both Matty Bersin and Adam Olsen collected 4 RBI’s with one swing of the bat, and J.P. McKeever hit a clean 3-run inside the park home run. Zack Muilenburg played a key role all night long as made it home in the 4th to trim the Mariners lead from 10 to 9 runs and keep the came going, collected two solid hits and closed the game out from the mound in the 5th and 6th innings.

Mets 12, Giants 11
Mets get on the board first and taking a 4-0 lead into the fourth inning behind big hits from Niko virga and John Fuhrman. The Giants kept the game close coming from behind with a big hit and solid pitching from Andrew Condrin and taking a 11-9 lead going into the bottom of the sixth. The Mets came up with three and ended the game on a bases loaded walk.

Cubs 13, Giants 3
Miles Edwards had 10 strikeouts. Jack Koewler pitched for the first time in the Majors and had 2 strikeouts. Collecting hits for the Cubs were Ryan Nixon, Miles Edwards, Jack Koewler, Jake Couch and Ryan Wiesenfarth. Steven Pardini and Grant Deary scored two runs each.
For the Giants, Mathew Dixon pitched well and had a smash hit to center. Dylan Huft & Ettienne LeFebre were stellar behind the plate

Tigers 6, Nationals 3
The Tigers and Nationals had another fierce contest Monday night. The Tigers jumped out to an early lead, but the tenacious Nationals made it close in the middle innings before the Tigers strung together key hits to come away with a victory. The Tigers were lead by a superb 10 strikeout performance by Matt Enos and key relief from Patrick Fitzgibbon. The Tigers had a well balanced offensive attack, with key hits by Noah Pettinato, Kyle Young, Blake Harris, Cooper Freese, Trevor Bonnano and Patrick Fitzgibbon.
Nationals starting pitcher Johnny Hartman had 7 strikeouts and went 3×3. Jack Flaningam pitched well in relief and also had a key hit and RBI. Matt Condrin added 2 hits and an RBI and Eric Dupzyk added another key single for the Nationals.

Mets 7, Cardinals 5
Behind good pitching from Ian Bohn John Fuhrman and Leo Kelly the Mets end a four game skid and beat the Cardinals 7-5. Leo Kelly gets out of a bases loaded jam in the top of the sixth inning ending the game on a pop-up back to the mound.

Giants 5, White Sox 2
Giants held on to beat the White Sox 5 to 2, behind a complete game pitching performance of Noah Wallace. After falling behind early, the White Sox buckled down with great relief pitching from Tim Brannan and Kyle Nolan and continued great defense, especially from shortstop JP McKeever. The Giants offense was lead by hard hit doubles from Ettienne LeFebre and Matthew Dixon.

White Sox 7, Cubs 6
The White Sox prevailed in a hard fought battle as Ryan Sax plated the winning run in the bottom of the 6th inning. The White Sox featured solid pitching from Lincoln Tadewald and Matty Bersin, with stellar defense from J. P. McKeever. The Cubs also featured great pitching from Ryan Wiesenfarth in his first start of the season, and from Jack Kotal who finish the game in relief. The cubs were down by two late but battled back to tie the game in the 5th inning. Both teams had timely hitting with Miles Edwards starting the game off with a strong triple and Josh Davis coming through with a two RBI double.
Regardless of the outcome – the highlight of the game was the “Sports Center” catch by Sam Schwartz in left field – if you weren’t at the game, you missed a fabulous effort by Mr. Schwartz.

Cubs 3, Nationals 1
Shortstop Ryan Nixon robbed the Nationals of a potentially game tying base hit in the bottom of the 6th inning to finish a very well played game and give the Cubs a hard fought victory. Nixon had spent the first five innings of the game on the hill for the still undefeated Cubs, looking strong and limiting the Nationals to one run. Ryan Wiesenfarth had two hits for the Cubbies, while Jack Kotal and Scott Tooley contributed with hits of their own. Kotal picked up the save.
Matt Condrin pitched a complete game gem for the Nationals, effectively mixing pitches to record 6 strikeouts. He was backed by a solid defense, including seven putouts by first baseman Jack Flaningam. Flaningam had two hits and the team’s lone RBI, while Condrin and Johnny Hartman had the other hits for the Nats.
