Opening Day Ceremonies, March 20th

Start Time: 10:30am
Location: Red Diamond (nearest Eastern Avenue)

Please note: Some printed materials and an earlier version of this post had the start time at 10:00am and location as the White diamond. That has changed to 10:30am on the front Red diamond. We apologize for any confusion.

Saturday, March 20th is the official start of the 2010 Arden Little League Season. Although some teams will have their first regular season games this week, we officially kick off the season with Opening Ceremonies.

It’s a crazy day of pre-ceremony games, assembling nearly 400 players with their teams, getting all of them to run out onto the field at their designated time, finding their hat after they throw it in the air at the end of the ceremony, and then hustling to their post-ceremony games. I won’t even talk about parking. Come early, you may need to walk a little.

The Opening Day Ceremonies (held on the large White front Red diamond) will start at 10:00am 10:30am. We highly recommend everyone try to arrive by 9:30am 10:00am at the latest. Players will need to be connected with their teams by 9:45am 10:15am on either the first base or third base side. They will then run out with their team onto the infield of the White Red diamond where they will try and keep from making sand castles and throwing their hats at each other through the end of the ceremony.

We already have a line-up showing where you will find your team. Please find the list below, note if your team will be on the 1st base side or the 3rd base side of the Red diamond, and then look for your team there.
